The Lahaul Roerich Society (Keylong).

The Lahaul Roerich Society was established in 2002 in Keylong. Its first President was Lama Paljor from the Kardang monastery.
In 2016 a famous scholar and historian Tsering Dorje was elected as President of the Society. He held this post till he passed away in 2020.
In 2025 a new body was formed by the Society members:

1. President – Nawang Upasak
2. Vice President – Prem Singh
3. General Secretary – Phunchog Dawa
4. Joint Secretary – Wangial
5. Culture and Media Secretary – Rahul Rohel
6. Sports Secretary – Nawang Chhering
8. Treasurer – Dorjey Rinchen
9. Chief Advisor – Dorjey Angroop

Currently, the Society has more than 30 members, including two international members:
1. Sergei Yakovlev (Estonia)
2. Elena Bobrova (Russia)

The main purpose of the Lahaul Roerich Society is to facilitate the restoration and functioning of Nicholas Roerich’s Workshop in Gungshel as well as the studies of regional culture and history.

It collaborates with such organisatrions as the International Roerich Memorial Trust (Naggar, India), the International Center of the Roerichs (Moscow, Russia), the Estonian Roerich Society, the Russian Embassy in India, and other local cultural and educational organisations.
